In order to use The Terpometer, place the sensor against the bottom of the banger from the inside and let it rest gently without pressing with force against the bottom of the banger. Next, please wait for the led screen to show the temperature to stop rising, and once it does, let it cool until it gets to your ideal temperature, heat it further if it's too low, or take your dab at that temperature. If you are using a slurper or blender as your banger, you can use The Terpometer efficiently by taking the temperature on the side of the middle cylinder and the bottom of the banger or even putting it down the middle of the slurper.  As The Terpometer makes direct contact with the quartz banger, you really can't get more precise readings.
