DNA Genetics are the seed company responsible for creating some of the most famous and celebrated strains of marijuana ever to make it to the public domain.  Their trophy collection is among the largest of any seed company of all time – their most prolific strains have a habit of conquering all before them, then retiring off to stud for breeding like a champion racehorse.

Here at Pure Sativa, we’re huge fans of DNA Genetics - We even collaborated with them to produce our very first strain – Tangie Ghost Train - a strain we released under the Little Chief Collabs banner in conjunction with Rare Dankness. 

However, if we were forced to say what we liked least about DNA, we would probably say that despite the unquestionable quality of their seeds, they are among the most expensive seeds.

In recognition of this, and in keeping with their whole company ethos, DNA Genetics have released a new range of cannabis

The 2015 High Times US Cannabis Cup took place in Denver, Colorado just last weekend, and Pure Sativa were there for the whole weekend to take in the atmosphere.

As luck would have it, we were in the Mile High City anyway for The Big Industry show the previous week.  We were displaying our eco-friendly hemp bags and clothing alongside our friends at Sativa Bags.  The fact that the Cannabis Cup immediately followed our trade show – it was even in the same exhibition centre – just meant that we could extend our stay for a little more networking and a catch up with industry friends that we didn’t get chance to see at Spannabis in March.

The event was a huge success.  Thousands upon thousands of revellers attended the Denver Mart expo centre to enjoy the show.  We caught up with a few of our American colleagues – Crockett Family Farms were in attendance, as was the entire Rare Dankness team.  The party started on Saturday 18th April

American vaporizer specialists, Atmos are arguably the go-to brand for mid-range portable vaporizers.

Marimberos are a new South American seed company founded just last year by Alejandro Londono – a hugely experienced cannabis breeder with some 25 years’ accumulated knowledge of the marijuana industry which began in his native Colombia.

Through his extensive travels and adventures within the marijuana industry, Alejandro has become a well-respected expert on the subject.  He currently works as a consultant to the Uruguayan government – the first nation on earth to fully legalize cannabis.

Alejandro is also a noted connoisseur and passionate marijuana freedom fighter.

Londono’s Marimberos seed company currently operate out of the legal climate of Uruguay.

“Marimberos” was the slang name given to all persons working within the Colombian marijuana industry back in the 1970s and 1980s – growers, dealers, pilots, smugglers etc.  The Marimberos seed company have taken the name and appropriated it to their organisation in homage to their Colombian roots.
